MPLS (Multi-Protocol Label Switching):
MPLS is a standardized data switching technology that optimizes network traffic flow and eases management of data networks. However, the distance to the local phone company central office where the copper POTS line is connected from the customer premise to the DSLAM will determine the potential speed of the DSL connection.
